We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our project, “Planting Trees, Planting Magic.” This ambitious undertaking aimed to empower every child in our program to plant two trees, contributing to reforestation efforts in the surrounding areas. We are delighted to report that in 2023, we successfully planted a total of 250 trees across Huehuetenango, Quiché, and Sololá.
The significance of this project is deeply rooted in addressing one of our nation’s most pressing issues: deforestation and intensive logging. These challenges have had a significant impact on our environment, affecting the delicate balance of ecosystems and threatening the well-being of our communities. In response, we have taken proactive measures to select tree species suitable for each specific area where we operate, ensuring that our reforestation efforts are not only impactful but also sustainable.
